Privacy Policy for Melange
Melange is operated by Any Creative, a sole proprietorship operated by Hyunggi Ham (“Any Creative,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
This Privacy Policy explains how Melange handles information when you use the Melange app.
1. Overview
Melange is a personal creative workspace for capturing ideas as notes and developing them on an interactive board.
Melange does not require an account. We do not operate a server that collects or stores the notes, projects, images, sketches, audio recordings, or other content you create in the app.
2. Content You Create
Melange lets you create and organize text notes, images, sketches, audio recordings, boards, projects, and connections between ideas. This content may include personal information if you choose to include it.
Your content is stored on your device. Any Creative does not access, review, sell, or use your content for advertising, analytics, or marketing.
3. Optional iCloud Sync
If you enable iCloud sync, Melange uses Apple’s CloudKit service to synchronize your content across your devices signed in to the same Apple Account.
Synced content is stored in your private iCloud database. Any Creative cannot access or view this private content.
You can disable iCloud sync in Melange’s settings at any time. Disabling sync stops future synchronization by Melange; it does not by itself remove content already stored on your device or in iCloud. Apple’s handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple’s privacy practices and settings.
4. Device Permissions and Imported Content
Melange may request access to certain device features only when you choose to use the related feature:
- Photos and files: to select and add content to your notes.
- Microphone: to create audio notes.
- Share extension: to save text or images that you explicitly choose to share from another app into Melange.
These permissions are used only to provide the feature you request. You can manage permissions through your device settings.
5. Information We Do Not Collect
Melange does not use advertising networks, third-party analytics tools, or tracking technologies.
We do not collect your name, contact details, device identifiers, usage data, location, or the content you create in Melange through a developer-operated server.
6. Support Requests
If you contact us at Key@anycreatives.com, we may receive the information you include in your message, such as your email address, name, and the details of your request.
We use this information only to respond to your request, provide support, and maintain necessary support records. We do not use support messages for advertising or sell them to others.
8. Retention and Deletion
You control the content you create in Melange. You can delete notes and projects from within the app.
We retain support correspondence only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request, maintain support records, or comply with legal obligations.
9. Security
Melange relies on security features provided by your device and, when enabled, Apple’s iCloud services. While we design Melange with privacy in mind, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.
10. Children’s Privacy
Melange does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app. If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us through a support request, please contact us so that we can address the request.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when Melange changes or when legal requirements change. We will post the updated policy at this URL and revise the effective date above.
